Het Semantisch Web (Engels: Semantic Web) is een evoluerende extensie van het rond 1991 geïntroduceerde World Wide Web. Het is een uitwerking van de visie van W3C-directeur Tim Berners-Lee over het Web als een universeel medium voor de uitwisseling van gegevens, informatie en kennis.
Het uitdrukken van informatie op het internet op zo'n manier dat niet alleen mensen er mee kunnen omgaan, verwerken, linken ed., maar dat dit ook softwarematig gaat.
